Some comments about this we saw on the web:
* /u/BaboonFury on /r/BurningMan You definitely don’t need an RV to survive out there. A good start would be a monkey hut http://www.chromatest.net/Lovemonkey/ and a somewhat sealed off tent. I use this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PAT60S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I drench my shemagh in my melted cooler water and drape myself during the day when I’m in my camp which is magic on hot days.——* /u/advice47 on /r/BurningMan This one has gone with me to several burns now. Not only has it held up well, the only un-closable mesh is a very small square at the top that I spring clamp a sheet over. Keeps out dust better than any of my other tents, so when I’m lending tents to people this is the one everyone wants. http://www.amazon.com/Wenzel-Alpine-Tent-3-Person/dp/B002PAT60S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454716800&sr=8-1&keywords=alpine+3+man+tent
——* /u/advice47 on /r/BurningMan So I know this is pretty specific but this tent is the absolute best tent I’ve had on playa, and I know others who have it as well. It has very little mesh, on top, the windows are all zippable, and if you just spring clamp a sheet over the rainfly your tent will be seriously low on dust. I’ve had it 2 years in a row now and I LOVE it. Also, that dome shape seems to make it more resistant to wind which is a big plus. http://www.amazon.com/Wenzel-Alpine-8-Feet-Dome-Light/dp/B002PAT60S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407956771&sr=8-1&keywords=wenzel+alpine
