Some comments about this we saw on the web:

* /u/PurpleshinyRiv on /r/BurningMan -Pesticide sprayer shower worked pretty well. (I shortened the spray nozzle wand on it for better ergonomics–sawed it shorter and epoxied it back together with a brass tube sleeve around it to reinforce the join.) Leave in the sun for an hour or so prior to showering. Shower with a huge towel in the bottom of the kiddie pool, stop before it’s totally saturated. Leave it to dry in the sun, hang it up when it’s not going to drip on the ground. My shower structure itself could use some work (less flapping shower curtains, more shade in the middle of the day). But the basic premise of hosing off in high pressure warm water was awesome :)

-Also, these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FPHQYXK/ were bright enough to see by inside the monkey hut with fresh batteries. Going to try for solar ones next time. Way better than navigating by headlamp or than depending on a lantern.

-Bringing Nutella in those backpacker’s squeeze tubes (eg http://www.rei.com/product/696007/coghlans-squeeze-tubes-package-of-2 ). Oh my god. Especially when an art car was handing out free bananas!

-Wrapping salami around a hot dog (not a euphemism!) is a great way to live.

-Having a designated napping cot in the monkey hut was definitely a good idea.

-If you’ve got a good cooler and block ice, yogurt is a good food to have. You will eat it and it will be the best. Especially with some of that Nutella in it. Oh, and Whole Foods in Reno is where we found block ice for sale (didn’t have luck in some of the other places we checked).

-If there are two of you in the tent, no, two battery-powered fans is not too many.

-Panniers for bicycles are so handy. Playa coat available just in case. Can take off shoulder bags when riding.

-Vogmask with a valve was pretty decent dustmask, a lot better than the mu I had last year comfort-wise.
