I can still have conversations with these, but they block the most harmful frequencies. I haven’t had next-morning ringing ears for years after discovering these.

——* /u/venturoo on /r/BurningMan these bad boys are awesome. they cut lows by -12 db but you can still have a conversation with someone.

——* /u/OsamabinBBQ on /r/BurningMan I’m pretty sure OP was asking about getting a gift for someone who is heading to Black Rock City (like a secret santa situation) rather than gifting on the playa. In that regard most of the ideas on here are pretty good ones, including the sparkly unicorn dildo. I love the gifting community and definitely agree with some of the points you made but I’m not sure this is the appropriate thread for lectures on how everyone has it wrong and the right way to go about things.
I think /u/bluegreyscale should get their secret magical gift person some EL-wire! because you can never have too much EL- wire. Or a pair of acoustically balanced ear plugs if they plan on seeing a lot of DJ’s, these things are amazing because they don’t muffle the sound but also save you from bleeding ear drums.
