Why we love it?
I’m really glad I bought this: it has a nice 3-stage charger, I can charge my phone through the USB port, and I can also see how many amps I’m getting from my solar panel. To the guy who complained it didn’t work: if you have a dead battery it will not turn on. Try testing the battery with a voltmeter first to see if it’s dead: I had a 12v that read 1v and it would not turn on. I hooked up my car battery to it and it worked fine. I bought some 12 gauge stranded wire, some 30 amp alligator clips, and a 20 amp automotive inline fuse to hook it to the battery. I’m impressed with the quality of the screw posts on the terminals. I’ve been building a bigger enclosure for this box and some switches, fuses, etc. I’ve screwed & unscrewed the terminals numerous times with heavy wiring. I was initially afraid I might wear out or damage the terminals before finishing the build, but they’re holding up great. Can’t wait to take it camping next summer!
