* /u/oh_bother on /r/BurningMan The cooler is this hungry peltier thing that hardly works, so it really was a wash, ill be just maintaining a pelican case inside our coolers since our camp is super tight with keeping the coolers frozen and in a sun free spot (below the container truck). Just have to keep the gross hot dog water off my precious supplies.

The solar panel model is just ONE of this thing, and I had a little tractor battery to charge, it worked horrible, I may re purpose it to run a boom box.

The other hang up was that I had this brilliant idea the week of our container truck packing, so ti was rather hastily zip tied together :P

Just remember to over engineer the power requirements, there will be entire days where the dust will be too thick to get the right amount of sun… I am not even talking about on the panels I mean dust in the air.
