Last UHaul I rented did not have a 12v port or USB at all by the way, so you would have to have an inverter, open the hood, and clamp on the battery itself if you got one of those (and it was a brand new truck).

The recharge power pack solution works, and the solar ones you can just leave out all day while you do whatever and know that you can get two phones charged up fully per day at least (in most cases, I’m sure there’s some junk ones out there too).
