——* /u/checkitoutmyfriend on /r/BurningMan Here is what I did last year. All of it survived the burn, vinegar cleaning, various other washings, and is ready for the playa again. Fresh batts will be installed closer to departure time.

Wheel lights. Enough for once around a 26”dia wheel. Blue up front, red on back. 3AAs lasted all week.

Tail light, 2AAAs last all week, lots of settings.

Dual duty Head light and Holder 3AAAs needed changing at four days. I actually had two of these. ;)

I also had a flag on my bike with a battery operated GlowStick at the top.

The frame was ‘traced’ with Reflector Tape. When hit with light, it glows like Tron movie vehicles. Not my bike, a pic from the Jungle’s customer pic gallery. I traced the frame and made connections just as the frame does. Gives a pretty cool effect. :)

Always bring extra batts, its good practice.

——* /u/checkitoutmyfriend on /r/BurningMan EL wire is the easiest to line the frame with. (they do ‘whine’ when powered up) I’m weaving these micro LEDs in the spokes

This will cover the sides. Then get a front(white) and rear(red) light. Some reflective tape is a good thing too.

I’m so over the last minute, impulse purchased el-wire ready-to-wear kits that I’ve had spotty luck with. Less than four dollars for an LED light string? That’s insane, and cheap enough to pack a few spares without adding too much to the “suddenly costing you more than you planned” budget.
