* /u/smiteme on /r/BurningMan I’ve finally given up on air mattresses - and AM SO MUCH HAPPIER for it.They will inevitably deflate (unless you get a crazy expensive one), they are usually hot to sleep on, and they are an all around pain in the ass.
We recently migrated to just making a bed with memory foam covered in sheets, with blankets and covers on top. It’s incredibly comfortable (even just straight on the ground), and my tent sleep has never been better.
Something like THIS is good, although you can go up in cost/comfort if desired.
…. Did I mention I hate air mattresses?
