I have been going to Burning Man longer than Reddit has been around. I wear extended-wear contact lenses out in the Default World, and I wear them on playa as well.

I do nothing special with my contacts. I wear them all day and all night for the 2 to 3 weeks I am out there.

I wear goggles when the dust gets bad.

I wear sunglasses most of the time during the day.

The ONLY time I have had problems with my contacts was when I tried switching away from the Neutrogena sunscreen I use on playa. I tried using a different one, and when I sweat, it got carried into my eyes and put me into REMSA for a day getting my eyes flushed.

Again, my eyes are not normal. My optician says they are “uniquely suited” for contacts.

But my eyes are not crazy-different, either.
