* /u/ecco5 on /r/BurningMan Does your camp have a fire permit? if so, i’m going to recommend getting really good paper plates and burning your dishes rather than washing- ash is easier to remove than grey water (and doesn’t smell near as bad). For meals that can be served in bowls, if it can be consumed without a utensil, great, if not, i use an enamelware bowl and a food scraper (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001F0MHE6?tag=dirtyhippie-20) I use that to eat, scrape all my food out, rinse the bowl with water and then drink the water. no mess, no chemicals, no grey water.

I’m trying to figure out an evaporator for my camp as well, or some sort of system that works better than the black tarp puddle method. maybe puddle method with black towels getting sprinkled with a solar pond pump…
