Some comments about this we saw on the web:* /u/pugfantus on /r/BurningMan I’ve been using a Goal Zero - Guide 10 Plus for the last couple of years now and have been very happy with them… A panel can charge 4 AA batteries in like 6-8 hours and you can then use the battery pack to charge other things (grab another guide charger and keep rotating them throughout the day.) They’re fairly element proof and can take a nice beating. If you go with the larger panels they can be daisy-chained together for even more power.
While it’s a little more expensive I’d recommend the Guide 10 Plus over the Guide 10 because the newer battery charger/pack can handle higher amps then the old version… it’s that not an issue, and you’re going to charge directly off the pannel, if you look around, you can find the original Guide 10 for well under $100US
