* /u/_shinything on /r/BurningMan I’m a little late to replying, but my boyfriend and I have the 9’x8’ tent, which is about 48 lbs excluding the tent stakes (we’ve replaced with military stakes). We are planning on flying as well, and successfully folded just the canvas portion of our tent into this duffel bag. We also were able to put our ground tarp in there, along with both of our very fluffy sleeping bags, our self inflating mattress pads, and self inflating pillows. I was honestly shocked. The entire bag came out to 46 lbs, and is perfectly 62”.

For the tent poles, we bought this. We literally just put the bag that the tent poles came in, into this speaker bag, along with our military stakes. There is more room to spare in this speaker bag and we will be padding it all with our large jackets and other clothes. The dimensions for this speaker bag is 65” but we won’t be overstuffing it and it will likely be pretty flat, so I’m hoping it will not be considered oversized…
