If you have them on full brightness, and depending on your strip, they can draw up to a few amps of current per meter at 12V, which is in the range of 3000mAh per hour of usage per meter. If you have access to power to recharge it (generator, solar, etc.), an iPhone power-charging brick can hold that sort of juice for not that much money.

I got one of these ($30) and it worked nicely to power some EL wire and about 500mW of LEDs all night; don’t get the ones they sell from Sparkfun, they’re pieces of junk. This one puts out up to 2A of power at 5V, which means you’ll either need a 5V LED strip (they exist), or a voltage converter and a little bit of soldering.
