You need the dry air from outside flowing through the evaporative medium and into the yurt.Looks like a nice build. I’m a little concerned about whether those glue joints will be strong enough to both hold water and survive the rattling in transport en route to the playa, but at least you can give that part something of a stress test at home.
I thought FIGJAM had, at one point, indicated that the unicooler just didn’t have sufficient vent space to take advantage of the Endless Breeze - hence the invention of the box cooler (with three of those vents). Should still be more effective than the bucket cooler, though.
I’ve toyed with trying to build a Endless Breeze-based system using one of these instead, but have yet to get around to it. It’d fall somewhere between FIGJAM’s bucket cooler and the big trash can system that inspired it, so might be usable as a fallback if the glue-up does fail.
