Some comments about this we saw on the web:
* /u/RealityApologist on /r/BurningMan I’ve used a basic Coleman Sundome tent since I started going. Mine lasted for ten years before finally giving up the ghost this last year, and I bought a replacement of the same model as soon as I got back. It’s a great product for the price, and has weathered the wind, rain, and general harshness incredibly well. It’s easy to set up and take down alone, and a 2 or 3 man version has more than enough room for one person and some substantial gear on the inside.I’d recommend adding some additional waterproofing if you decide to get it, but doing that is really easy. It definitely won’t stay cool in the sun, but if you either don’t plan on sleeping during the day or put it inside some kind of shade structure, it works just fine. Since it’s so cheap, you don’t have to worry about it getting ruined, and there are relatively few parts to break (two poles, plus another one for the rainfly).
